Antique!: Long Post

HI! I'm back, fresh from Antique! I'll tell you about my Antique trip with my taekwondo buds...it's a long train of events and memorable moments...
April 28: The Arrival
I was really nervous about the match in Antique. I felt really bad about ny insecurities and the possibilities. Eto lang yung mga natatandaan ko na nangyari sa araw na ito:
-We got stranded in "Leganes" (it's a place in Iloilo). One of the cars broke down a bit, hehe. So, Sir Victor took the car to the pagawaan to have it fixed, while the rest of us pushed our butts in the cafe. Could you believe it? I sang 4 songs and got a high score sa videoke! Pagsubok by Kitchie Nadal - 93, Crazy For You by Spongecola - 96, With a Smile by Eraserheads - 95, Torete by Moonstar 88 - 89! Haha! they dropped lots of pennies just to hear me sing...awwws. hehe.
-Then the car arrived at about an hour. We now went on with our trip! As soon as we arrived, whoa grabe we were so exhau! We ate that night and drank lots of water.
-Sir Victor told us to sleep at 9pm. We were so disobedient! Angel and I hid these under our pillows: Sumo Waffer Sticks, Chikito peanuts, jellyace, large Piatos, Sandwiches and noodle cups! We pigged-out the whole night talaga! Until past 12 midnight...goodness ang takaw namin ano? Nahuli kami ni Sir na minumuya yung mga peanuts (which is pangontra sa mga athletes), natakot kami nung mahuli niya kami! Buti nalang walang punishment! hehe
April 29: The Tournament
-We woke up, sluggish as expected (kasi nga gabi na kami natulog nila Angel), took a bath and arranged everything that needs to be packed.
-When we arrived in the gym, my foot hurt and I couldn't move it freely, but I still ignored it. I saw the Jins from Negros and one of them was my idol player. She reigned like fire in every arena she played on! She knocked her opponent out in less than 30 seconds! That is so unbelievable! Kawawa yung nakalaban niya, di na makapagsalita sa sobrang sakin ng mouth niya. Power Roundhouse kick yung ginamit niya straight to the face...napa"Ooooch" yung audience! Nagalit yung Mama nung nakalaban nung idol ko grabe yung drama sa tournament!
-My match was the most STUPID match! I had more that 5 violations, lost because of it! It was my chance to grab gold! The score was 1-2, she was 1 and my score was 2! Obviously I won, if it weren't for my violations! We had a sudden death match and she defeated me with her aggressiveness! So, I have to settle for silver at the championships. That was total: Grrrness. (You know what's my secret weapon? It's prayer, sincere prayer, tight faith and complete trust--believe me)
-Just after my match, Kuya Ed (my pinaytalk friend) wanted to meet me in person. Me too, I wanted to see him sa personal. EB kami nung day na yun sa tournament. It's really a small world actually, kasi yung kasama niya textmate nung classmate ko na si Honeylen--which happens to be the sister of Allen--na teammate ko sa taekwondo. O di ba? hehe. So we talked until I was medalled. Sabi niya, he'll meet me the next day for some major picture taking...
-After all the whim-whams in the tournament, some of us were secretly told to go to Jollibee to eat lotsa foood. We ordered a lot, after all the frustrations in the tournament. Our team ended 3rd runner up sa over-all. That was our second trophy, coz Passi City just made the club, 2 years ago.
-After eating, we ordered for additional ice cream, we pigged-out again! Hehe. Angel and I went a little nuts and agreed to find our way to our Quarters by just WALKING. Considering that we weren't familiar with the place coz it's just our 2nd time there. WE went in a lot of twists and turns until, napa-"Hayyy salamat!" kami ni Angel kasi narating namin yung DECS office kung san kami nastestay.
-Pool Party! Pagkatapos ng tiring kicks, we went swimming, kasi sa harap nung DECS office (which is just 5 steps away) ay isang malaking olympic pool! Whoo! We swam until we got tired of paddling our legs sa tubig. (Muntik pa malunod yung mga bata sa 4 feet)
-Nung natapos na, may secret kami ni, Angel, basta. Me nakita kaming kakaiba dun sa pool...hehe. Secret nga e!
-Pagkatapos ay bumihis na kami papuntang quarters.
-Punta kaming rooftop. We talked and talked about our last fights. Until...may Fireworks Display! Ang ganda talaga, napapa-"Whoa!" kami ng mga kasama ko! As in ang ganda talaga.
Wanna know my dream date? Ano pa? Edi ang makapunta sa Sydney Aussie, sa isang private boat tapos may dinner don, tapos my music...the best part? May fireworks display na surprise para sa akin! Grabe! Dun ko na nalaman na hindi pala ako nasa Sydney, kundi nasa Antique sa rooftop...haaay.
April 30: The End.
-Gumising kami at about 6am. Fixed everything and bid goodbye to all the things that we've done in tha past 2 days. We knew that everything else belongs to history. Ang lungkot talaga...
-Kuya Ed was supposed to meet me to take pics! Sayang at 'di ako nakapagload! Nagiguilty talaga ako! Sobra!
For kuya ed...
Sorry talaga if di ko pa napaalam sa inyo na aalis na po ako! Sorry gid kung la ta ka na-inform nga malakat na ko. bal-an ko medyo kalain sang ginhimo ko sa imo. Pasensya gid Manong. I promise to make it upto you kahit ano basta kaya ko...ihambal lang kung paano. Para di ka lang mangakig sa akon.
Although Some of you may not get what I meant, kasi nga nasa "BISAYA" yung mga sinabi ko. And Kuya Ed is from Antique...kaya nagkakaintindihan kami in dialect.
-And now that I'm here in front of the monitor, typing everything we've done nung nasa Antique pa ako...

Halo! i made this stuff sa Encarta Chart Maker. Wala lang, just went a little nuts sa break namin dun sa office. I get to use the computer for free! hehe, kaso walang internet connection. Clear naman siguro yung nakalagay sa Personalized Chart ko di ba?
To repeat, it presents my preference pagdating sa guys. Smart Looking boys capture my heart pag-at-first-sight! Oooh!
The next match
Punta na akong Antique bukas for the tournament in Binirayan Complex. Well kahit air-conditioned pa yung gym, mainit pa rin ang labanan.
Well I'll be asking a little help from you guys. Just through prayers. Remember what I said about my TKD spar on my last post? Yun yung kinakabahan kong mangyari sakin...Jeez.

It means M.y P.hilosophical T.rip (3P). I want my new url to speak for its own. Lalagay ako ng mga posts na halos puro self-examinations o soul-searching. Baka palang dito ko makikilala ang sarili ko ng mas UP-CLOSE di ba? Coz we had to admit, we don't fully know ourselves yet. Kaya sisimulaan natin sa mga everyday journeys natin. I have to make it a point na may natututunan ako sa mga posts ko. Pati na rin kayo.

First Story
Losing Grip
We have our weekly sparring sessions in TKD every sunday. And as always, I'd have Angel as my sparring partner. She's 5'9 tall while I stand at the height of 5'2. (pretty cool difference huh?). It so happened that I've been gaining a lot of weight which made me look like a beach ball in a Dobuk (taekwondo uniform).
As we began, she fired me a powerful stomping-kick and almost whacked me off the ring. I fell down in humiliation. Kick #2 followed and then again I fell down. I was about to cry after I turned red, coz' some of our teamates laughed their head off the scene. I felt really bad after...
I had my last fall...I tripped and lost my grip. I out-balanced and fell-out-of-reach. Again, they laughed.
I tried to hide the pain that I've felt...so I reached for the rosary and prayed hard from the experience...
